Suddenly, it was making sense that the patient whose wound would not heal, had just as much to do with the emotional trauma they endured and still carried, as it was a physical vulnerability. Time proved that without addressing the emotional and mental charges of trauma, the physical body has a much more difficult time healing. Unfortunately, the demands and time-restraints of our imploding health care system was not conducive for my hearts true calling to host safe, heart - opening spaces with patients. This began to diminish my inner light, not living my authentic truth.
